Just thought I'd let you guys know about two great little pieces of software. The first is something called Stepvoice Recorder. It allowsyou to make mp3s of your voice and to record directly from your sound card, say for online radio shows etc. There are two versions, the paid and the free. I use the free and have no problems with it. The soundquality and file size are customisible. This is the download page where you'll see both versions.

The second program is Debut Video Capture Software. This software allows you to make videos which you can save in different formats. It's very easy to use and is customisible. You can also record from web cam, an external video device like a vhs player or directly from your computer screen. It's totally free and you can find it here, along with other software. Note that they may install other trial software but you can easily uninstall it.
